Born in 1963, JonOne grew up in New York. Fascinated by the emergence of the first graffiti tags on the city’s noisy subway trains, he joined this movement under the name Jon156. In 1984, along with Rac7 and Kyle, he founded the street artist collective “156 All Starz,” which would later become an international community.

Seeking to break down barriers between galleries, museums, and street art, JonOne deconstructs artistic boundaries and integrates his art into everyday life through collaborations with prestigious brands. To preserve the raw energy of his work, JonOne draws inspiration from the principles of action painting and abstract expressionism. Like Pollock, he physically immerses himself in his creations: walking on his canvases, splattering them with paint, and layering multiple textures and colors, giving his works striking depth and dynamism.
