James Bullough is an American artist based in Berlin. His paintings and massive, monumentally scaled murals combine delicately rendered realistic portraits with brutal graphic distortions and abstractions.Inspired by the urban graffiti he encountered in his youth in Washington, DC, Bullough has harnessed its energy and edge while delving into more traditional and realistic techniques of oil painting by studying the old masters.
